Yes, you read it right. Call it Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD), Narcissism victim syndrome or Pathological narcissism, it is actually a health disorder where people apparently does not seem to have any medical problem and yet has different physical or emotional complaints like weight loss or gain, depression, anxiety, insomnia, phobias etc.

People affected by this, tends to love themselves too much where they think they are the best around with highly bloated self esteem and ego. No rules apply to them. There is an exaggerated feeling of self importance, yearning for admiration and lack of empathy for others. They spend lot of time thinking about their appearance or achieving success.

There is a level of healthy narcissism. On a scale of 1-10 a healthy narcissism is regarded as 1 where people have a healthy self esteem and which helps them to remain strong after a disaster or a failure. On the other hand a pathological narcissism can be dangerous, the level may vary within the scale.

There is a very fine line between pathological narcissism and healthy narcissism, we need to identify early before it is too late.
